Farmer's Market 6/26

We just got back from Farmer's Market. It was great fun, I always love going down there although it gets pretty wild after 8:30 and I am ready to go then.
After Christi picked up Tyler the boys and I headed down, Travis was being to slow and so we left him to ride his bike down there which didn't hurt his feelings none.
So the boys and I went to In-N-Out and ate a burger and then over to the cooking show. That was actually kind of interesting, we learned how to make Benya's and I know that is not in the least how to spell it but I really have no clue how to spell it. We then got to taste them and they were very good actually. The Chef said as how to get the best ones was in New Orleans and so when we go there I will be sure and look for some. We actually were going to go to Louisiana the end of July but alas Travis Mom would not come watch my boys and I had no one else to ask to come stay with them as they will be in school and cannot miss. So we will have to forgo our Vacation. We are going on a cruise in October so I guess that will have to be enough. And then Labor Day weekend we are riding our bikes to Washington. Why we always ride there on Labor Day weekend is beyond me, I guess because it is cheap, as we can ride there in a day and then stay with some family and not have to catch a motel. But really I don't care for going to Washington much but I suppose it is okay to go once a year huh. lol Kind of my family duty, although both my Grandma's come here like at least 4 or more times a year unlike others in our family. But hey, its all good. LOL Anyways I'm kidding
But back to Farmer's Market. Man I always get all off on these little rabbit trails when I write. Goes to show I am not much of a writer
Anyways so after the cooking show there was the Magic on the Mic. It is a contest of singers, happens every week and then at the end they have finals. Every week a winner is picked from those that sing, usually about 5 to 10 people and then they have finals where all those winners compete against each other and they win something big. Oh and every nightly winner wins something. Like tonight the person that won, he won a $75 gift certificate to some sun-glass store, can't remember the name of it. I think it was like Solstice Sun-glass Hut or something like that. But anyways tonight there were 8 contestants, 3 of them were like Oh my word bad then there were a couple that were so so and then there were like 2 that were pretty good. They didn't pick the one that I would have picked, course I was probably a bit biased about him as he was a cowboy with the cowboy hat and I knew the song he sang. The other guy was very good but alas I did not know the song he sang. But he did good and deserved to win. So all in all that was good.
So then we went and got Travis and the boys and Josh a snow cone. And then over to the water geysers. There are like all these holes in the ground that water shoots out of, just a ton of them. And kids are running through them, well my boys wanted to and Travis said they could, so clothes and all they went running. So then Josh dares Travis to and says if he does then Josh would follow. Well Travis just happened to be in the mood for a dare and so he did. Unfortunately I did not have my camera but I took pictures on my phone. I will have to see if I can figure out how to get them to my computer. I have never done that before and so have no clue how to do it but I will attempt it sometime when I feel like it. But you really would have had to have been there. It was too funny. Then they both had like a same idea and wanted to give Ana a hug, I got a video of that on my phone too. It was funny.
So then we had to go walk around some so that they could all dry off some. You just got to love Nevada weather, 9pm and they are soaked and not shivering but for Dallas who has no skin on his bones and so shivers over anything. LOL and then Travis had to ride his bike home but he was dry by the time he got home. lol
So anyways we are walking back through the Farmer's Market, all the vendors are cleaning up as it is over at 9 and Travis and Josh have wet jeans and so they are all acting retarded and walking retarded. Ana and I just kind of lag behind and laugh. My boys learn such wonderful ways to act when Travis and Josh get together and my dad is not around to make them behave. hahahahah although the other night he was there and they were acting all like that and he was laughing along with us, needless to say he did not join them though. Haha
So that was our night and we had a good time as usual. We always have fun though. LOL Tomorrow night is youth and we are taking them to Wild Island so that will be okay. But then on Saturday is the Rodeo and that will be great fun, Josh and Ana are going along with the Walkers so I know we will have a good time although with the Walkers there Travis and Josh will be all cool and collected. haha. But I can't wait, I do like Rodeo's but then I just like doing stuff and then only 6 more days till we leave on our trip to LA and through the RedWoods and along the Oregon Coast, I can't wait.
Good thing I have Maw-Maw, the boys are all excited she is coming. I love her to death and not just because she comes and takes care of the boys for me, even though sheeeee isss the only one that willllll. But really, how many 70 something Great Grandma's do you know that would come take care of a 7 and 6 year old for a weekend. Hmmmm I say she's pretty awesome, keeps her feeling young and on her toes. Or maybe she feels old when she is here. haha I don't know, but they love her to death and she says they are good for her and mind her so that is all that matters. We love you Maw-Maw.....
So I am off now to go read some and then to bed. Tomorrow I have promised the boys to take them to the sprinkler park. I am not the kind of mom that does all that fun stuff much so when I do it is a big treat. I really feel nervous to take them places like that and plus I don't care for playing in a sprinkler park with a million shouting running kids but alas I am going to be the nice mom and do it, just because, for at least an hour. Breathe.........I can do this..........LOL
