Hot August Nights 2008

To tell you about Hot August Nights:
Well we decided to make our trip down there Thursday night as Friday we had youth and Saturday we had other plans to go out on the bike.
So Thursday night Travis got home from work and took a shower and we went to the bank and then called Daddy and Mama and asked if they wanted to go to Grand Sierra to the Buffet. We usually go to that buffet if we go to one as we can get it there for only $7.77 so it is cheap. So we got there and there was a forever more long line as usual but that was okay since we had to wait for Daddy and Mama anyways since they were not ready when we called so we waited in line for bout 35 minutes and then got seated. Ate there then went out in the parking lot where there were a ton of cars. You can not imagine it unless you have seen it, there are so many hundreds of cars. The amount of classic cars that come to town for this event is pretty amazing. So we walked through all those and took pictures and checked them all out and then decided to head to Victorian Avenue and watch the cruisers. They close a loop of streets out and the classic cars cruise like back in the day, they do the same in Reno but we went to the Sparks cruising.
Walked through there and watched some of that, they had an Elvis impersonator that was actually really good doing a concert and so we watched him for a bit too. Then we went home as by then it was about 11pm I think.
So anyways here are some pictures for you. I guess I am not much in the writing mood tonight.
Travis just got home from taking the youth home, we had youth here at our house tonight. There were only 5 of our 8 here but we had fun. Ate of course and played Scattagories.
But I must go get this slide show together and then get to bed as we have this early morning prayer again. :P Don't get me wrong I know I need to pray but I much rather not do it when I am still half asleep.lol just kidding. Pray for us that our Pastor will see fit to have mercy on us folks that don't get up at the crack of dawn. Man I get up at 8am every morning of the week now, Saturday was my day to sleep till 9:30 and now we have to be at prayer at 9:30. Lord, help me get up in the morning.lol
