We are home!

Well we are home finally. I must say there is no place like home. :)
Left for Washington Friday morning bright and early, got to Washington in 12 hours, not to horribly bad. It was fairly warm until we got to Washington, pulled into Chehalis and it started raining a bit. But that was expected I suppose as that is what it does best there.
Everything looked pretty much the same since I was there last year, the Outlets had a bit of a different look to them but other than that everything else looked the same.
By the time we got to Grandma Heddie's I was an ice cube, she and Bob built us a big fire to get warm by and Cindy and Greg got there a little while later and we visited with all of them, Cindy had made some Mexican Corn Bread (my fav) and we ate that and Grandma had some fried chicken for Travis and Cindy had also made some Blackberry pie for Travis. By 8pm I was about to fall asleep in my chair but Travis said I couldn't go to bed so early. lol But Cindy and Greg left shortly after that and we were in bed by 9 and I was out like a light.
Got up the next morning and we went to the outlets and did a little shopping then to Napavine park for a "family reunion" so it was called.
But there were quite a few family members that we hadn't seen for a few years and was nice to see them all. Honey Ann and all her family, Alisha, Audra, Shyann and Tammy, Jim, Ryan and Crystal showed up later with thier 2 children.
I of course froze to death the whole time.
One funny thing before we went to the park we were at the outlets and in this store and Travis and I both had our coats on, felt quite out of place though because everyone else was in short sleeves and some in shorts but not one other person had a coat on. So anyways we are in this store in line and this one lady says to another " Man it is such a beautiful day out" the other says " I know, isn't it? It is just so bright out" Travis and I look out side and the sky is just full of clouds, can't even see a speck of blue and it is in our opinion quite cold out. We both just look at each other. I do beleive the people there are quite out of tune with weather I suppose.
So anyways, back the park. Tons of food there but you know me, picky, and so all I liked was Grandma Heddie's banana pudding and some chips so that was all I ate all day. Oh well, I need to lose more weight anyways. lol
So after spending about 6 hours freezing my tush off we went to Tim and Carla's for a bit then back to Grandma Heddies.
Next morning got up for church, service was not till 2pm so we got to sleep in and then take my time getting ready. We went to Travis' Dad's for service and Travis preached. He did very well and after service we went to eat at the Mexican Restraunt there in Yelm then hurried over to Chehalis service to see everyone there. Everyone has changed so much and everything seems so different. But that is what time does I suppose.
So then got up bright and early Monday morning and headed home. It was I think 42 degrees when we left and when you are on a motorcycle I think it is 15 to 20 degrees colder so I of course froze and wouldn't you know it never did get above 70 the entire way home so I had a million clothes on the whole trip, by the time I was so sore from being so tense all the way home. I can tell you we flew home and would have made it in 10 hours but we stopped for a warm up in Klamath Falls and so it took 11 hours to get home. But we only stopped 3 times, we were trying to get to that warm weather but it was only 65 at home so we never did find it, but made for a fast trip. I can ride forever if it is warm but when it is cold it hurts, I tense up and I can't move much because I have alot of clothes on and then I am stiff from the cold too. But that is the life of a biker, you take it all.
I had enough of Washington in those 2 days to last me till next year though. lol but I will be heading back in October to drop the boys off, thank goodness in a car with a heater though. lol
So today I am home sweet home.
Thanks to Sonia for taking such good care of my children, sounds like everyone had a good time and Sonia was a family mom for the weekend. lol
I will post some pictures maybe later, but I think I only took like 5 so we will have to see what they look like.
