Mattocks Family News

Hello,
Just got home from the dentist.
Today was a big day for the boys.
Coda's first visit to the dentist, had his teeth cleaned and x-rays done. Dr. said his teeth look beautiful and so all is well with him.
Dallas on the other hand, poor kid, has teeth problems. Last year he had an abscessed tooth on both sides, we took care of the worst one and then today went back to take care of the second one. It consists of having a tooth pulled (one of his molars) and then he has to have a spacer (piece of metal) put into that space to hold it open until the adult tooth comes in which will not be until he is about 11 years old. So he had the laughing gas and all that and did very well and is now resting.
On the way home Coda said "That was fun, I like going to the dentist" Dallas replied through his gauze "That was not fun"
So by the time we got home the gas and numbing stuff they had given him was wearing off but we had some ibuprofen all ready and I dosed him with that. So this time around things are going alot better than the last time. Last time we had to go to the store after and get the medicine and so we were walking through target with Dallas bleeding out the mouth and crying, it looked terrible but we did alot better this time and I bought some medicine beforehand and we came straight home and Coda made him a nice bed on the couch and brought him his book and I got him all taken care of. So all is well in the Mattocks household. :)
