Early last week we had planned a ride.
Dad was to be home Thursday night and so we were going to go riding with a group on Friday.
Friday morning came along and it was cloudy with a chance of rain and so our group backed out of riding. But Dad is used to the rain so if it rained no big deal, and Travis and I have never ridden in the rain so we were willing to take the chance and if it rained then it would be a great adventure.
So we left as planned but Josh wanted to ride just a little so we let him ride to breakfast with us and we ate and while eating it poured nice and hard and by the time we were done it had stopped all nice and dry so we were off. Josh went home because he said he didn't want to get wet so it was just us and the parents.
Headed out to pyramid lake and then around that to Gerlach which was kind of our half way point I think and then on to Alturas and then home.
It was cloudy but fairly warm all the way until about 30 or so miles before we reached Alturas and then it began to rain, but not too much, just a misting of rain, kind of like a normal day in Washington that you wouldn't really call rain. haha By the time we got to Alturas it had stopped so we got gas there and kept going and that is when it decided to open up and rain for reals but not a downpour, just a steady rain. Poor Travis couldn't see too well since he forgot his windshield wipers for his glasses. LOL
So about 7 hours after leaving Reno we arrived back home in time to jump in the car and go get the youth to bring to our house for youth night.
So now we can say we rode in the rain. Haha But we had fun anyways and called it our adventure for that week. I didn't really get cold until after Alturas and then I was a bit chilled but the only wet part on me was my knees, I probably wouldn't have been too cold if I had some knee pads. haha

I'm glad someone was taking pictures. I don't know what it's going to take for me to teach your mom how to ride and take pictures.
I don't always know what I'm taking them of but I snap them all over and if I do that then I know there will be some good ones somewhere in my snapping. haha :)
