While I was gone I missed an event we had here in Nevada. My parents were able to make it there and said it was quite smelly. I can only imagine, sounds and looks disgusting. But obviously not everyone thought so as there were upwards of 5,000 participants so I have read. It cost a minimum of $10 donation and all money went to American Cancer Society. They had the mayor of Sparks and the mayor of Reno out and you could throw them at him for a minimum donation of $50. They brought in 50,000 pounds of tomatoes and it is said to be the biggest food fight in Nevada and possibly the US. They got the idea from Spain, I guess they do this in Spain every year.

So here are just a few pictures I got off the net to share.

And so now for something a little more appetizing we have going on this weekend. LOL

Summer wouldn't be complete without the world famous Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off. The event has grown into the biggest and best festival of its kind. This year's festivities will be held September 2 - September 7.

An estimated 500,000 people attend the Rib Cook-off over Labor Day weekend, enjoying the can't miss formula of fantastic food, fun events, and free entertainment. The competition is friendly but fierce, and people of all ages taste and compare, all the while consuming over 150,000 pounds of the best ribs you'll ever experience.

I'm not much for ribs but Travis likes them. It sure smells good down there though. They have lots of other stuff too. Sweet corn on the cob soaked in butter which is ok but I'm not one for eating in public. haha. Kettle corn which I like. Cotton candy the kids and Travis love. UGH LOL and so much other stuff. So its just a fun place to go down to. And perfect for me is that In-N-Out is right there on the corner for me to go get something. hahaha
