Wow!
I had the most interesting experience today.
I am moving so getting rid of stuff that we don't need.
Well a while back our neighbor gave us this terribly worn out powerwheels. I decided we are not going to take it with us so we asked did he want it back since we are moving and can't take it with us, he said no just do what you want with it. So I posted it on craigslist for 30 bucks and said on there that it is very used but it still charges and it still runs. So I get a horde of calls and texts, the first one being at 1:50am. Now that should have given me the first clue but being the fair person I am, they were first so I give them first choice. So they are going to pick it up yesterday but an emergency came up, could I please hold it till today. Sure, why not. So today rolls around and they do not show. So I kindly text them and say do they still want it or should I re post it. They are on thier way, had to drop a kid at kindergarten. They finally get here in a very nice truck that is all decked out and 2 little boys tumble out along with mom and (dad?) I won't even try and describe them. She comes in while he does whatever it was he was doing. She wonders why he is not coming to help. Oh she wanted help???? Oh ok he says. WOW! So then she asks do I have a 10 because all she has is 2 20's, no I very seldom have cash so I don't. So she proceeds to start crying, yells at the boys to get in the truck, and says how its $30 and she just got that money out of the atm and she only has $9 left in her account and it cost $10 in gas to drive all the way out here and it was all for nothing and she lost her job and he doesn't work and this was all for nothing. So being the nice person I am I tell her that I have a jar of change does she want me to count her out $10??? She asks him, he shrugs. He doesn't care. She says did he leave the door unlocked for the girls??? Wow, how many kids to they have?? 1 at school, 2 in the truck and the girls??? wow! and they can't either one be over 25. So she says yes she wants coins. So luckily I have some rolled dimes already so I give her that as she is still crying. He shrugs at me and says she is stressed. And they load it up and she gets in the car still crying. About what I don't know????
Now I am thinking to myself, if you only have $9 in the bank, why are you spending $30 on this thing???
So that was my interesting episode of the day.
