Mattocks Family News

Yesterday was laundry day and today was cleaning day.

I am preparing for my trip and must leave a clean house.

All the sheets are washed, laundry is done but for one more load of towels and of course we have the weekend of laundry buildup but at least I will have the biggest majority of cleaning done.

So now it is time to bring out the suitcases and start packing. I have my list all made up so thats good. :)

Sonia has been here since yesterday. I don't know how long she will be here. But then I never do. She appears and then disappears at random times. She tried her hand at cooking today. I was so proud of her, she did such a good job. Oh and last night too she made us some very nice dinner after church.

The weather here is atrociously cold. They keep saying snow but so far we have seen none recently. Everyone is worried that it will snow on our parade Saturday but Oh well I say. If it does then that will make for a very Christmassy Parade and if it doesn't then thats cool too. I am fine either way. But I do request that it please quit by Monday morning as that is when I am headed out and I so don't like driving in bad weather. I don't mind driving in snow but when its icy and it doesn't look icy thats when I have flashbacks and can't hardly go but 10 miles per hour and that would take 2 days to get there if that happens so pray for good weather for me and melting stuff around so I know its not icy on the road. LOL

Sonia has aquired a new hairdo now, it is called the firework hairdo. It is quite interesting to say the least.

I am very much looking forward to going to Washington this time. I don't know why. Guess I miss the family.

My car is leaking oil, terribly thing! But Maw-Maw has a nice mechanic she takes all her cars to so I am going to wait till I get up there and get it fixed rather than take it to the Lexus dealer here and pay an arm and leg.

I have finally nailed Maw-Maw down for a time to come visit. She has not been here all year and I told her that just wasn't right so she now has a plane ticket to come in January. :)

All our tickets are bought for our Louisiana trip. I can't wait for that either though I am not wishing the year away by no means.

We have our New Years party coming up. I was going to dress up, it is 50's style but then the costume I wanted was $40 and I couldn't see spending that, so unless I decide to use some of my Christmas money and get it I won't be dressing up after all.

I have been doing badly on my dieting. UGH! It's mostly Sonia's fault though, she comes and cooks us good food and wants to go out to eat all the time and I can't tell her no and hurt her feelings so I go along. Haha JK

She recently showed me a picture of her at 14 so now I need to go find some pictures of me to show her so I am off to look at pictures.
