So Friday we decided to try skiing again, so we headed back up to Squaw Valley. And boy was it ever a perfect day! I have never skied in such perfect snow. The day was clear, it was very warm and the snow was just perfect. We all just really got out there and hit the mountain hard all day long. Traffic getting up took us an hour longer than it should have because it was such a beautiful perfect day a million people got the same idea as we did and headed up, we could only go about 10mph up hwy 89 UGH so we got up there a little late than we usually do but it is a huge mountain and you would have never known there were so many people except that the later it got the bigger the moguls and bumps on the hills got because of so many people going over the hill. LOL
So we started skiing about 10:30am and we didn't even stop for lunch, just skied all day until the lifts closed at 4:30pm. Had a blast. Now if every day were like that I could ski all the time. But talk about a bad idea, forgetting to wear sunscreen that was a bad idea. Sunglasses all day, and an earband make for quite the sun tan lines. EEPS!
