Life is just humming right along as usual....
On Saturday we had a wonderful family day!
Cleaned the garage because I was going to go look at a fridge for in the garage, I so need more freezer space! These boys eat me out of house and home and if I only had more room to store things I could cut down on the amount of trips I make to Wal-mart and Winco and I could actually shop at my favorite places, Costco and Cash & Carry! But alas it didn't work out that we could go get the freezer because the guy never called me back :-p UGH!
So I am back on the hunt for a fridge that is nice yet cheap. Haha
So anyways back to Saturday..... We were ready for some lunch by 3pm when we were finally done organizing and rearranging the garage, by the way it looks great, my husband is the best organizer. He wanted to mop it again, yes my husband mops our garage. LOL As you can tell it does need it but I was tired of cleaning and starved so I talked him out of it. Whew!
Here are just a couple shots, couldn't get the whole thing. ;-p
So we headed to town. No One could decide where to eat so Trav said he would shake his phone and where ever it said to go that's where we were going, we all agreed. So he shook it and low and behold it landed on my most favorite place! Genghis Grill!!!! Then it was time to revamp the rules because only mom likes that place. BOYS!!!
So after about 5 shakes it lands on Bertha Miranda's,
ok we haven't been there since before we moved here so lets go see if we liked it since Mexican food sounded good. It was ok but must have been the most expensive Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at so it will be another 7 years before we visit that place again, Mexican food is supposed to be cheap. We could have went to Ichibans,
(which is where the boys wanted to go) for the price we paid for Mexican food. I couldn't believe it!
After that we were so stuffed and so decided we needed to walk some of the calories off and so parked the car and headed down the River Walk.
It was a beautiful day and we walk a good ways and the boys ran and had a great time and we checked out the rapids for this summer as we intend to take some kayak's down that river. The boys are super syked out about it and Summer can't come soon enough I promise you.
Unfortunately I am getting old and for the life of me I can't remember what we did after that. Haha
So anyways on to Sunday.....
We had 2 fabulous services with Bro. Wakefield, a missionary from Mexico and his 2 beautiful daughters. He told me at lunch that I looked like his daughter enough that we could have been sisters. I considered that one of the highest compliments!!!
Trav decided to stay home for the night and fly out Monday morning so Monday I was up before daylight to get him to the airport and then back home for a bit and then time to get the boys off to school.
Coda is taking some extra classes at school, most of them are after school but in the morning he has to be at school by 7:30am UGH He seems to be enjoying the classes and I think they will do him very well.
Tonight Dallas had piano lessons and then we went grocery shopping. Taking kids grocery shopping probably isn't the best idea. Means buying junk food to fill the junk drawer. :)
Then we stopped at Costco and one can't go to Costco without some of their yummy muffins. Or so my boys are of the opinion.
But since I allow such bad eating habits I made sure to buy something to help out thier healthiness. Does this count?
And that is about all the updates I have right now. :)
I am still counting the days until we head off into the sunrise to the land of warm weather and sun, The Caribbean!!!!!!!!!
Getting dressed up every night for dinner, I love dressing up! And every day spending the day out in the sunshine all day long. Only 30 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
