Mattocks Family News

Today I sold something from my room on craigslist so I got the bright idea to rearrange my room. So I got everything all higgledy piggledy and called mom, HELP! LOL
Thankfully she rushed to my rescue and came and directed my furniture traffic and now everything is all nice and arranged.
One might think I was pregnant the way I've just been in the Spring cleaning, organizing mode. No worries, I'm not! Haha
Now it is time to get ready for church, we have to leave early since Coda is having his piano lessons on Wednesday's before church while he is having his extra classes at school. UGH! I'll be glad when these 4 weeks are up so we can not have to do that, it gives the boys no time at all between school and getting ready for church and the days have been so nice and they have been chomping at the bit to get outside and play and we have been so busy running hither and yon that they haven't been able to enjoy the weather.

Well on to other news...
Today is Dallas birthday!!! He is 11
It is hard to believe that 11 years ago I was in a hospital room at this time about to give birth. I was only starting to realize at this precise time that he was not going to come easy. UGH! but by 6:30pm he arrived much the worse for wear but healthy.
On that day I couldn't imagine us today, it is amazing how fast children grow up.
I pray every day that we will be able to instill enough good into him that he will live for God all his days and that he will always try and do his best in all that he does.
We have decided to wait on any celebration until Spring break because we will be gone on Coda's birthday and so we are going to combine their birthday's. I'm not at all into birthday parties so we will see what we come up with to do. Dallas wants to go to Ichibans so we will probably do that at some point and then I have in mind a present for them both that I am going to try and get, we shall see.
