Mattocks Family News

Today I met Sonia for lunch. It was a very low calorie lunch for me because after sending my steak back 3 times and it still being red I gave up, and I had eaten my potatoes so slow and drank a bucket of tea and so I was no longer hungry anyways.
After that went to the church for a bit and then had 45 minutes to stop at Kohl's for a quick look around. And I was so happy, my bill came up to $57 and she told me if I open a Kohl's account I could get $10 off, so I'm like sure, then she said if I use the card to pay I get another 30% off, no thanks, I don't need money on a credit card. Well if you want you can pay it right now after you charge it. Well in that case why not and so my bill only ended up being $25. How cool is that????!!!!!
So after that I sped home for the boys, grabbed them and we were off to piano lessons.
From there we went to the church so I could catch up on the postings before I am off on my vacation lest I have a mound to do when I got back and Sis. Neumann want to tell me I'm fired. LOL
So then I decided I should go to Burlington to pay on my layaway before we head off and Travis needed a Purple tie which I had found at Kohl's and he also needed a red and black tie so that he can match me. So I found the perfect one at Burlington along with a cute little skirt that I haven't a thing to match it but maybe some day something will appear in my closet that matches. Haha
So by now the boys are dying of hunger and do you think they want to go somewhere low cal? NOPE! So we ended up going to Outback and I'll eat light. HA Cheese fries, 4 loaves of bread and a salad later I left feeling over full and kicking myself royally. And BTW I didn't eat all 4 of those loaves. I think Coda ate the most, at least Dallas said Coda ate the same amount of bread that Dallas and I together ate. LOL
So on the way home we of course must pass by Sonic and since I had blown it so bad already what was an ice cream cone going to add. My friend Jessie was working tonight and so I stayed there talking to her so long my ice cream half melted because how weird is it to sit there talking to someone and keep sticking your tongue out to lick an ice cream cone. Haha I don't like eating ice cream in front of people, it's kind of an uncivilized thing to eat in public. Haha. They had accidentally made the wrong drink for the person in front of us, it was supposed to be diet and they made a regular and so she said here try this route 44 lime blue ocean water and tell me how it is next time you see me. So we drove off and Coda took the first sip, he said it kinda tastes like lotion. LOL we all laughed and so Dallas is like yeah whatever Coda let me try it, so he takes a drink and he says wow it does taste like lotion. HAHAHAHA Now how does a drink taste like lotion, I can't say that we all go around tasting lotion so how would we know huh. So I decide to try it and can you believe it actually does. ROFL  It really is the weirdest drink I've ever had. It kinda grows on you because we all kept taking little sips all the way home and here it sits next to me and I keep going back for more. I for sure wouldn't say I like like it and would definitely never order it but for a free drink I guess its not disgusting lotion. Haha
And so now here I am once again at my computer getting things transferred over for my wonderful husbands listening entertainment. I am almost done and now he wants me to put the bible CDs we have on here. Needless to say I highly doubt I will get the whole bible transferred over before we leave. We shall see though. :)
So another wonderful day is passed and I am getting so antsy, I'm still not packed. Can you believe it???? My mom asked me today if I was packed yet and I had to say no, she was happy she wasn't the only one she said. Very unlike me to procrastinate so badly, no worries though, Sonia is coming over tomorrow to help me get in order. LOL
