Mattocks Family News

So as you all know we went to Louisiana last year. The Gatte family took us to Di's and it was craw-fish season. So dad introduced us all to craw-fish (or as Iris called them, mudbugs Haha) along with his friends that he grew up with. They all loved it EXCEPT of course Coda and I.

So recently Josh was out fishing with Gramps down on the Truckee and saw....... Yep, Crawfish!!! So off he goes the next week to buy some traps and nets for catching crawfish because they are just " Oh So Yummy" So the Friday night after that we must indeed have a fish fry at the Ashworth household.

Well they call Nolan and Iris and get the recipe on how to cook up a pot of crawfish. Dinner is ready and here we are, of course everyone has forgot the art of eating them since it has been over a year since they ate that 3-5lb plate each down south where the crawfish pro eaters live but hey guys! Did you forget we have a Louisiana boy sitting right at our dinner table who has not forgotten the art and so here you watch crawfish peeling instruction.

As you may see Josh is so all about them and thinks they are Oh so great, Trav liked the Louisiana crawfish but said the Nevada crawfish just don't taste quite the same. Dallas loved em but still hasn't gotten the art of shelling them to eat and so didn't get to eat quite as many. I think dad took up all his time telling everyone how to shell them he didn't have much time for shelling his own and I didn't get his take on them. Mom was of the same opinion of Josh and Anabel seemed to be unsure. Now as you all know I was just all over them things and Josh and I were fighting over who got the most. HAAHAA NOT! Just looking at them made me lose my appetite and after just a few french fries I went and did the dishes and let them play with their mudbugs. And I think Coda wishes he liked them or had the guts to try them because he sure thinks its cool to play with them. Blech!!!!!
