This weekend we went to Washington for a family get together.
It was an enjoyable time for everyone and we hope to be able to do it once a year.
Aunt Stevie says lets do next year in Louisiana which is very fine by me. I think that would be a blast and it would involve a whole different set of relatives and we could make a vacation of it.
So I drove there Friday morning. Left about 7:45am, a lot later than I usually leave but I told Trav that I usually get so tired I have to pull over so why not just sleep in a little. So we left then and stopped to get some gas in town and were on our way. I put the pedal to the metal and we were off, pulled into a quick drivethru @ Susanville for some breakfast, stopped twice for gas, a couple rest area's and made it in a record time of about 10.5 hours. Kept it at 80-90 the whole way, which I don't normally do but I wasn't in the mood for prolonging it so we jetted. Hehe
So we got there in time for some dinner which we had a an old haunt of ours, Casa Romas. :) Hadn't been there in years!
Saturday we got up and were at the Chehalis church by noon for some yummy lunch of catered Brank's BBQ.... Visited with everyone and hung out there for almost 4 hours, the boys went home with Logan and Trav and I headed back to Trav's gram's house and his parents and his twin and her family came over and we sat around the fire eating home made popcorn and visiting.
Bright and early Sunday morning got up ready for the trip back. I didn't gun it home, I was good and kept it close to the speed limit until we left Susanville and then I laid it down all the way to the house. LOL
So that is the summary of our trip and here are few pictures.
