Office remodel

Since there was no Pastors office we decided to remodel one of the 2 evangelist quarters into one. Here are a couple before and after pictures of a job that seemingly took forever and was waaaay more work and money than we planned but we are finally seeing the end and are very happy with all the hard work we put into it.

It was 2 rooms along with a bathroom that had a tub.

This is looking from the bathroom at a middle wall and the red curtain is a waist high window with an A/C above it.
Here is looking from the window toward the bathroom.
At one time years ago this room was the pastors office and had a door onto the platform. At some point that door was walled off and this bookcase put in it's place. Next to the book case is the door that goes outside.
When we rolled back the carpet we found the floor mostly eaten with termites.
Looking from the front door to the wall in the middle of the room.
The beginnings of tearing down the wall.
The wall has been removed.
Getting the demolition cleaned up
Then on to the bathroom which is where we came upon a completely rotten floor.
Now time for purchasing material to replace the floor and the Sheetrock. Some walls were complete concrete so all walls were furred (sp?) out. There was no outlets in the walls. Just some electrical boxes that had been pulled through the floor.
And look what we found behind one of the walls. Windows. But it would have been a lot more work to incorporate them back in as the outside wall was all stuccoed over it and stuff so they just walled them right back in.
We had much help from my brother Josh who came down twice. He helped with plumbing, electrical, sub flooring, Sheetrock and texturing and probably many other things.
Sheetrock finally on the walls
We flipped the window and A/C so the window would be at eye level.
Time for primer
All primered and ready for paint
Now it's all painted and we stand back and look at it and we don't like it. It's just too plain. Our decor theme is to be old world maps and clocks.
Sooo we decided to Faux paint it with a rag.
It turned out beautifully and we love it.
Bro. Luke came to preach for us and so he helped Trav get started with the tile.
And then Travs parents came for 3 weeks and hallelujah Cindy is good at finish work. We put up a three piece crown molding and I caulked it all but then all the nail hold had to filled and then all the little touch up paint and she did all that tedious finish work while I painted doors and baseboard.
And Greg put in doors, helped put in the hardwood flooring and baseboard and installed sinks and toilets among many other things.
Here we are getting started installing the hardwood.
And finally things are coming together.
Lookin good!
In the bathroom installing vanity lights and mirror. Now just the shower is left which Trav will have to do when he gets some time but we can finally just slow down and relax.
We were trying to hurry with everything because we wanted it done before we had our fellowship meeting. We barely made it. Got all the furniture in on the Thursday before the fellowship meeting.
Mom has been so helpful in ordering things for us and helping us out with color schemes and all the decorating things and discounts and good deals.
We are so grateful to everyone who has helped in making this a reality. Trav and I just love going and sitting in his office in the peaceful silence. And he now has plenty of workspace for everything he must do with being a pastor and plus his secular job he does on his computers.
So our walls are still a little bare as mom needs to come visit so we can go shopping for things.
