Candle light dinner

On the Wednesday before anniversary services we were decorating and cooking. I had cooked a big pot of Red beans, sausage and rice for all of us and just about the time it was done..... Poof, out goes the electric. Well we know out here in the county when the electric goes out you may as well just sit back and relax, you'll be in the dark for awhile.

Can you believe there wasn't a flashlight to be found but all the phone flashlights. Well none of us had a full battery and no one wanted to run out their batteries so we found a box of candles and lit the place up and had a nice candle light dinner. 

We heard sirens so assumed there was an accident or something to explain the power outage. It eventually came back on sometime after dinner. I don't remember exactly how long it was out but it was a good while. We all just had a good visit and break from all the work.
