Day 1 Of Our Road Trip

Thursday, July 3rd;
We got up around 7am I think it was, I took a shower and finished packing.
Travis got up earlier than that to wash his bike.
Uncle Harland had stayed at Josh and Ana's house so he soon got there around 7:30 so he could wash his bike.
So we have everything ready, everyone is to meet at our house at 8 and we will leave. So everyone is packing the bikes and getting all the luggage strapped on. So we had bought this new motorcycle luggage earlier in the week and we get out there and it won't go on the bike. So everyone is trying and it just won't fit. So then everyone is getting grouchy because they are wanting to get on the road so finally Travis is like just leave, because they were going to Denny's go eat and so he's like just go eat and we will figure it out, so they all leave but us and Uncle Harland and we figured it out shortly after that and it fit just perfect, guess it was all the pressure of us all wanting to leave and once the pressure was off we got it. lol
So we got that all taken care of and down to Denny's we go and eat breakfast. And then we are on the road.
Our trip for our first day is driving up to Yosamite Park and through that and then we didn't have a specific place to stop.
So we drive up there, I have never been. Actually I think none of us had.
Oh and by the way there were 5 bikes all together:
Red and Kayla (friends from Louisiana)
Daddy and Mama
Josh and Ana
Uncle Harland and Aunt Debbie
Travis and I
So anyways we go up there, it is just beautiful up there. Only about 2 hours from here or so.
But can you believe they charged us $20 per motorcycle to drive through that place. Rediculous!
But anyways it is very beautiful up there. We saw a bull elk, I got a couple pictures as we were flying by.lol We did some hiking which was quite fun. We took lots of pictures, tonight I got Dad's and Ana's pictures I will have to put on my computer and then Uncle will be sending me his soon. But I have mine all on my account so I can start on my slide show then I will add the other later and make a couple slideshows perhaps....
That first night we ended up staying at a Holiday Inn Express in some little town, I can't remember the name of. We decided we wanted to walk to eat but alas the closest place to walk was McDonalds but we were all hungry enough that it was good. haha
Travis and I roomed with Uncle Harland and Aunt Debbie and the first night was great, they only snored a little. LOL
I think we finally got to bed around midnight.

Maw-Maw is leaving tomorrow. Wahhhhhh
I am very sad and I will miss her. It has been nice to have her here since we have been home, me and her just sit around and talk and when I go somewhere she goes with me. The boys loved having her stay here and she said they were very good for her and so I am glad of that.

Dallas has started school and loves it.
Coda went and me his teacher today and we like her, she seems like she will be a good teacher. He starts next Monday.
Dallas teacher is Mrs. Martinkus (mar-teenk-us)
Coda's teacher is Mrs. Lee
