It's a great day to be alive!
It was simply gorgeous out today. I sat outside all day reading, watching Ty and Coda play in the water. Lots cooler today than yesterday. Yesterday we hit 100, that is a bit more than I can even handle. Not complaining mind you, just a bit much to sit directly in the sun light so I wasn't outside too much but today was only in the low 90's and that is just perfect and with a slight breeze blowing, a good book in hand, nice tall glass of sweet iced tea and it was all anyone could ask for, just wish my honey was here to share it. But only 4 more sleeps as Coda would term it. :)
Travis said yesterday there they reached about 75 but with the humidity it felt hotter. That is what most Washingtonians wouldn't understand without experiencing it, is that 90 here is not like a 90 there. Here we have a dry heat that isn't quite as hot as a humid heat. Believe it or not but if its in the low 70's here I consider it just a bit chilly. Laugh if you want but it is very true. We took the boys out in the desert, dirt bike riding recently and it was 72 and I was wishing for a jacket. So understand when I say anywhere between 80 and 90 is just perfect, that is if you like the sun and like to be warm aaaaand be able to eat a 15 pound bag of ice and not get cold one time. Yaya baby, that's what I'm talking about! lol
So yesterday Rick and Donna (our neighbors across the street) invited me and the boys over for a BBQ. We just had hamburgers and hot dogs and Donna made a very yummy macaroni salad. Stayed there visiting until I was late for prayer. Yikes, she had her oven on baking something and it was set on 350 and so every time I looked over there, where the clock usually was it said 350 until I just happen to look at my watch and it was 520 and prayer starts at 530. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! Yikes! I'm in trouble. So we hastily say goodbye and run out the door to throw our church clothes on and speed to church. So that is why I resembled a scare crow. EEKKS Even Gwen commented " was I tired or just didn't feel like doing my hair all fancy like I usually do" haha Oh well, I have gotten to where I am not vain like I used to be and figure oh well if I sometimes resemble that scare crow, its not a big deal, so long as it only happens once a year. LOL
That is about all that is going on right now.
The boys are outside playing and getting all brown.
Coda had water day today and Dallas had a field trip to Jump Man Jump. Great fun for the last week of school.
Coda has graduation on Thursday and Dallas gets out on Friday. They are excited for a break but will miss thier friends and looks like they will be changing tracks so not be going to school the same time as other friends unless others get switched. I am hoping for yellow track so that Coda can have Dallas' first grade teacher, Mrs Day. She's really cool and Dallas loved her, then we will have to switch back to blue next year so he can have Dallas Second grade teacher, Mrs. Martinkus. She is super cool and Dallas adores her and is quite the teachers pet.
I have misplaced my spare camera charger. We have 2 camera's that take the same battery so we have two of the same chargers, so Travis took one of the camera's along with the charger thinking I had the other one and I can't find it any where and so my battery is completely dead. And that is horrible because Coda has his Graduation on Thursday and I am going to have to use our old camera if I don't find that charger. Argh, I am so mad at myself. But I have searched high and low and can't find a trace of it. Hopefully it turns up before Thursday. So anyways no pictures right now. :(
