Well I am home from my little weekend trip.
Had a wonderful time.
Left here at 4:15am Friday morning and made it to Puyallup by 4pm. Picked up Travis from work and headed up to Gram's. She had a nice dinner ready for us and we ate and visited and then quickly got ready for church and headed to church. Bro Clark was preaching and boy did he do such a good job! After church there was a baptism. WHOOWEEE BRRRRRRRR, they baptize outside, in a trough that has been filled from the hose. EEEEEKKKKSSSSSSSS I was freezing just standing out there. I can't even imagine how that poor lady felt. After that we visited with Austin and Kim for a good while and I got to see thier cute little dog.
Then Travis and I went to Red Robin and had a little snack before heading to his Grandma's.
Saturday we were up bright and early, or at least they were. At 7am no less, I kept trying to put my head under the covers and go back to sleep but between the door opening and closing, the phone ringing, the kids and Travis and Grandma talking and cleaning, bringing in wood, cooking, etc. I finally gave up and got out of bed. UGH
Finally everyone got there around noon after us hearing the boys wondering all the live long morning when was everyone going to get there for the party. Travis helped Grandma cook her end of the garden soup and she let him season it all up the way he liked it. The whole time as I was hearing her pumpkin bars calling my name. Then Travis and I decided to go to town and get some juice for the kids and soda for the adults and while we were gone we stopped at Taco Bell so I could get me a couple taco's. A crunchy taco with no cheese is only 150 calories and so I felt alot better about eating that than all the calorie loaded food that was going to be at Grandma's. By the time we got back the house was full of family and children and everyone was ready to head to the pumpkin patch for some fun in the mud. HAHA so we all headed down there. It is just down the road from Grandma's house about a mile. The boys had a wonderful time climbing on tractors, some took a hay ride, running through the corn maze and jumping in the hay pile, taking pictures in all the little face holes and just having a wonderful time in rubber boots. haha
Finally I convinced them that it would be just as fun at Grandma's and there were food and drinks and lots of sweets there and didn't we all want to go now???lol Finally they did and we got back and Travis sat at the table with Shawn in an eating contest I think. haha, every time I came in the kitchen there was food on both their plates. He said he was just trying to keep up with Shawn. Jeff, Trena, Amanda and new baby Hudson, 4 days old finally showed up much to everyone's excitement. I let them all enjoy him, I will be back after Thanksgiving when there is not such a crowd and I can spoil him then. ;)
So we all just sat around talking and they were all reminiscing about growing up days. And all in all had a wonderful day and it didn't rain that day.
It sounds like it has made up for it since I left though and been pouring ever since. haha
I got up Sunday morning and headed out when Travis left for church at about 9:30am. Stopped at Jack in the Box for the boys some food and then at the gas station and by 10am was on the freeway and headed home. We pretty much took our time coming home, stopped in K Falls for some lunch, just through a drive thru and made it home a little after 9pm.
Got the car unloaded and all in bed by 10:30pm.
So that was our weekend
Today has been back to normal. Mom came over for lunch and I have been doing laundry. The boys were back in school. Got home, did homework, played outside some and now are fixing themselves some dinner. haha So I better get off here and make sure they are not making a royal mess of the kitchen.
